March 2008 Prayer Letter
We'll be home this summer!
We have to make an unexpected trip back to Canada this summer. We have discovered that Fanosie's Permanent Resident Card can only be renewed in Canada. An expired card can possibly mean denying him entry back to Canada.
The process takes about two months, so our only opportunity to do this, is this summer. There is a summer break at the College for the full time teachers so this is a perfect time to accomplish this.
We of course don't mind the opportunity to see friends and family and to have the opportunity to share with you personally what God and us have been up to throughout this past year!
Zach and I go to an international school two mornings a week. He loves the opportunity to be with other children his age and of course the "new" toys are the best things about school. He attends free of charge, because he is the only native English speaker and I help out how ever I can.
Needs
This will be our first experience of being missionaries returning without house or home or car or beds! Our family is no longer made up of two and we cannot stay in someone's guest room for this length of time.
How has God blessed our life?
Zachariah and Lydia continue to grow and change. Both are trying to speak the local Amharic language.

It is run by Christians and they even do a bible story every day! This is a huge gift from God for him and me.
It was a concern of mine that my children would miss out on the opportunities that others their age would have in North America. I didn't dream that I would find such a school in Ethiopia, and certainly not in our small town here of Debre Zeit!
As a graduate of Early Childhood Education and years of teaching preschool, I wanted my children to have this opportunity but prepared myself to make the sacrifice and knew God would give them different opportunities.
Little did I know he had a school already prepared for them. I see this as a complete gift from God and want to acknowledge Him as the provider!
