Church Reality
Jesus didn’t run around trying to get ahead in life, and I find Him to be the ideal teacher to learn about life and priorities from. If He can live a life of simplicity and still be fulfilled doing the work of the church, we can too.
I have heard that 70% of the work in the church is accomplished by 30% of the people and I find that to be a sad reality.
Just something to think about.

In talking with people the other day, I figured something out. We were discussing life and the life of the church. While attendance has remained stable or even increased over the years, contribution has seemed to have gone down.
Why is this? Do we have to work longer hours at work, of have our kids involved in more activities to feel included? I think the problem is that we think life is going to pass us by and we must have a bigger house, fancier car, perfect kids, etc.
Life seems to be passing us and we must catch up. If we slow down, accept what we have and pay only what we can afford for items, and not have our lives and credit cards maxed out, would life come back?
