Fixing something that has been bugging me for a long time.

After the great server crash of '05, the blog lost all the pictures I had foolishly uploaded to my ISP's domain (instead of hosting on Flickr). Also lost was the one and only pattern of my own design that I ever posted. Well, I recently re-knitted my heart dishcloth, and decided it was time to post a new picture as well as the pattern. So here it is for your knitting pleasure (in chart form only for now, although I may get around to posting it as text eventually):

It's an easy knit -- you only need to know how to cast on (39 stitches), knit, purl, and bind off. I recommend kitchen cotton (Lily Sugar and Cream or Bernat Handicrafter are two common brands) in a solid colour as opposed to variegated. I used 4.5 mm needles but of course you may prefer a slightly larger or smaller one depending on how loosely or tightly you knit; gauge is unimportant, it's just a matter of getting a fabric that pleases you. The hearts are in reverse stockinette on a stockinette field on one side, and of course vice versa on the other side, bordered in moss stitch, so it's reversible though the sides are different. Eventally I'll stick the pattern in the sidebar for easy permanent access...

Hi Lisa, I enjoyed meeting you at Romni today. I was going to say hello on Ravelry but I cannot seem to find you. Anyway, here I am, saying hello, and I'll check out your blog too now that I know where it is.
