Quite possibly the softest yarn I have ever touched
My final package from my knittyboard SP8, "Boo," came on Friday just in time to cheer me up from all the cat-illness-related stress. The two books of NYT crosswords will entertain me at lunchtime. I so liked the Brittany birch cable needles Jacquiebean sent me in the last round that I asked for more, since I managed to lose one -- sometimes that's what happens with well-loved and well-used but very small items, unfortunately -- and Boo kindly obliged. Her husband went to Japan and brought back some very tasty treats, and a very cute little kitty figurine to grace my desk. I especially liked the salty treats -- très yummy, and a real marvel of culinary engineering, the thinnest, crispiest, hollow cracker/chip things. Finally, the yarn! Romni Wools Silk Angora is quite possibly the softest yarn I have ever touched, and I have fondled a LOT of very fine yarn in my time. The colour is beautiful. This is most definitely destined to be a scarf or wrap to be snuggled against my neck!

I'm glad you liked it. D wants to know what flavour the chips were. I couldn't decide based on the packaging - but the super Whale amused him. The kitty is a prosperity kitty. Display it in your home or workplace and it will bring you and yours prosperity.
The chips were mainly salty, with just a hint of soy and some unidentifiable flavour that reminded me a bit of cheddar (like Goldfish) but also strangely reminded me ever so slightly of Thai fish sauce (of course that might have just been my imagination... the suggestion being planted in my mind by the fishy shapes). Anyway they were so delicious (the crunchiness! the saltiness!) that I scarfed them down in one sitting, on the drive home from work.
I am hoping the prosperity kitty brings luck in the lotto tonight!
