At least something is blooming outside
My "Cheap-A$$ Secret Pal" Liz -- bluroux on the knittyboard -- sent me bulbs from her garden to plant last fall. I haven't managed to take a good picture of the ivory crocuses yet (so subtle, so delicate, so pretty) -- partly because darn BUNNIES have eaten half of them!! -- but I'm pleased with this shot of the tiny spring irises. I'd never seen this kind of iris before. They're about the size of crocuses and bloom just a bit later -- but there's definitely overlap in the flowering times. I think I must have buried the bulb on the left too deep -- the stem is completely underground and it's blooming right on the surface!

Aren't they pretty? Mine are blooming, too. Definitely a bright spot on a chilly "spring" day!
