This is what I get for not knitting a gauge swatch.

I knit Maggie's twin sister Katie a striped garter stitch scarf with a combination of two strands of blue Patons Pixie, along with strands of Bernat Lana and Patons Katrina in chocolate brown. I cast on sideways (lengthwise) and just eyeballed the number of stitches. Clearly my estimate was a little (OK, a lot) on the long side. I hope Katie will forgive me. She's the most fashion-conscious of the sisters and I fear my knit scarf just may not have passed the "cool" test with her. She was incredibly polite, not a word of criticism or complaint, but I definitely felt a, well, lack of enthusiasm. Oh well, you win some, you lose some.
