Way belated FO posting

Yoga mat bag

I made this yoga mat bag for my knittyboard SP7, Skitten, back in the summer, and never got around to posting it. It's my own pattern, knit in the round and lightly felted. The yarn is four 100 g skeins of Ice Blue Patons UpCountry, a heavenly soft Lopi-style bulky 100% wool that is now sadly discontinued. My pal was impressed with the patience it must have taken to knit those miles of i-cord, but I actually enjoyed the process. I was really proud of this project, especially since I designed it entirely myself after looking at other patterns online and in books without finding anything that had sufficient textural interest that would nevertheless be a reasonably quick knit and that would work with yarn in my stash. Then I remembered my "mistake-mistake rib" tea cozy from January and started knitting. The only "flaw" is the not-quite-flat circle bottom. I could have ripped it out and re-knit it until I got it perfectly flat, but I decided it was good enough the way it was.

Later in the round I knit her some clothes for her Blythes, and a feather and fan scarf in leftover pink and red Handmaident Lace Silk that my SP5, etcgirl, gave me back after she completed a beautiful stole from it... thought it would be nice to keep the SP love going!

Thanks to Skitten for letting me post her picture!

That's a great yoga bag! Are you going to post the pattern?

I will probably post not so much a pattern as a "recipe" or method at some point... Thanks for the kind words!
