Now it can be told!

I've always been pretty lackadaisical about updating the blog, I must admit... Here's one more example. I've actually been more productive with the knitting than it might seem around here. It's just that a lot of my knitting has been focused on secret pals for the last few months. Back in April I knit this scarf for my SP5, Raeknits! Of course I didn't think to take a picture of it before I sent it off. So I got her to send me this photo ages ago and I've been meaning to post it, but I'm only now getting around to it. The yarn is a discontinued cotton from Berroco but I can't for the life of me remember what it was called. It was like a torn strip of beige fabric paired to a thick and thin unspun cotton space-dyed in cotton-candy colours. Very pretty. I just used a "long" garter stitch (double wrap) and as you can see I made the scarf rather dramatically oversized. It was a pleasure spoiling her.
